I purchased my 2 CF->SATA adapters on ebay for 3 or 4 usd each. Everything works kind of normally, but first CF card died last week after half a year of service. Now I purchased next one, this time in normal shop with all the warranty, will see, how long will this one last. That 8GB card was ~19 usd, add 4 usd for adapter. There is a considerable price difference, when compared to SSDs and other alternatives.
