You _could_ do that with tool offsets in the tool table. (I think).
All tools have spaces for offsets in XYZUVW.

No, that does seem wrong and strange. I wonder if it is a synch
problem, one part of the code not updating because it thinks nothing
has changed on the basis of an internal value but another part of the
code getting the information from the not-updated section?
