I am using a Duemilanove board. The typical RepRap thermistor circuit and a HEXFET for the heater coil is on a prototyping shield. The firmware is called "teacup".
I got frustrated trying to get the serial port to work following the links on that webpage, so I decided to go down the PWM route.
