Greetings, Has anyone used servo motors with mirrors as scanner galvos using LinuxCNC to drive them? Or possibly a polygonal mirror with an encoder?
If not, can it be done? Seems like with the kinematics it should be possible. I imagine for high resolution over a relatively large area (at least 1m square) the servo would have to be geared down quite a bit - maybe around 100:1. Any insight into this topic would be greatly appreciated!
