The step time & step space are to be set for a particular motor driver's
characteristic. for instance, a Gecko G202 requires that step time be set
for .5us, and step space for 4.5us.  The step time is the minimum time for
the device to recognize the change, and step space is the minimum time off
before another step can be recognized.  You can set LinuxCNC to issue
longer pulses than these, but shorter will cause issues with the drive.
(the Gecko also requires that you invert the signal so logic low is true.)
