I'm not at all surprised, but I would say that it's probably 'steadily gaining
share' purely due to the increasing cost of windows and Mach3 licences ... and
the problems simply installing an embedded machine with windows these days.

The new box I've just installed with a Via processor has loaded and I've got to
the Mach3 stage in a couple of hours. Probably the fastest I've EVER done an XP
box, but the important thing seems to be an SP3 install disk! Which only cost
me
£27 including the proper holographic label for a change. But I am going to dual
boot the box now so LinuxCNC will be available as well ... no problems with
graphics on this, it went straight to 1920x1200 without batting an eyelid -
back
on 1024x768 now.
