Sound like you need a plate with a grid of threaded holes, and a

This is called a subplate and I consider them so important that I
built one before z axis was finioshed. If you ream the top of the
threaded hole you caqn insert doewel pins for accurate fixturing I do
believe every mill should have one, far better than t slots
