I took the serial number bumps off first thing, but I think now, since this 
puppy has quite a few hours on it in the last 13 years, that the majority 
of what I'm seeing now is just plain wear in the middle.  Originally, the 
angle of the v-way in the carriage and the angle of the v-way on the bed 
disagreed with each other by about 2 degrees, but some sanding & scraping 
in the v-way on the bottom of the carriage fixed that.  Square to the bed?  
DamnedifIknow.  If I can get it to cut hard steel without terminal chatter 
that breaks inserts, I'll be happy as that famous pig.
