I think most of the motor resolvers are shaft mounted, so it's not an easy job to reuse them. I have at least one shaft mounted resolver, but I feel like the shipping might be a pain. I have some PacSci motors with their proprietary resolver variant that I have been thinking about replacing because the drives are too much work to deal with, no matching docs. I don't know if those have a better form factor of resolver, but I doubt it. This is the sort of thing I expect to see inside a motor: http://r.ebay.com/MgtAve full link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Tamagawa-BRX-Smartsyn-Resolver-TS2640N641E64-for-Servo-Motor-/150670359632?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2314a73c50 Eric ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Monitor your physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure from a single web console.
