Jon, Dunno if it's always done this. I bought the thing used. I think it was doing it when I bought it. Wish I had a schematic and parts layout for the damn thing. When I opened it up yesterday, all that I could conveniently see was the transformer, filter cap, pump and the back side of the PCB that was attached to the face plate. Anybody know if schematics and parts layout diagrams for the Hakko 472 are available anywhere?
