You sure you were looking at velocity-fb and not position-fb?
Your describing position behaviour.

I'm not sure where spinde-ramp.maxv comes from.. but if that works.
I'm a little confused as you talked about a stepgen for spindle control and
then later a VDF. You must have a VDF that can use step and direction commands.
Anyways I see in later posts you got it all to work for you. Excellent.
