I have not personally used that command, but I would assume that the reload command probably re-invokes the initial code scanner to check for legality of the moves. I wouldn't consider it a bug at all, but a safety measure. And yes, it will be frozen and ignoring you and the machine both, so I would as a normal coding style, make sure the machine is clear of the work and axis motion has ceased before I would invoke that line of code. OTOH, I could be full of it. It wouldn't be the first time, and likely not the last, but common sense is how I'd read this "bug".
