The day of picking up a defunct treadmill, or a surplus motor from one, seem to now be in the distant past, with one that I saw on fleabay, clearly well abused, 6 months ago that still had 3 days to go and was above 200USD then. I'd love to do some sort of a bigger motor on my 7x12, but a 5 or 6 amp version of what I have now is north of $300, well north.
