I have an ongoing production job I'd like to run on a tiny lathe like
that. I could remove the tool post and tail stock and bolt on some gang
tooling and leave it set up to run that job whenever needed. It only
requires about five square feet of shop space, and I could run it while
also running larger jobs on the larger lathe for increased
productivity. It's truly sad to see the mental gymnastics when I want
to buy a new toy, err... I mean tool.

I've been buying these nice $65 powder coated steel shop cabinets at
Sam's Club and using them for inexpensive electrical panels. They're 28"
H X 24" W X 12" D, which would be the perfect size to mount inside a
simple 80/20 frame under that little lathe. Maybe put the LinuxCNC
electrical panel on the back side and a matching cabinet on the front
side to store tooling for that cute little lathe. Have a tilt-up
keyboard tray on the front and mount the LCD monitor above the lathe on
the back. That would be a sweet little package.

I like how the red E-stop push button is labeled PANIC. I might need to
keep that. :-)

The build quality looks fairly good, but I wasn't able to find much info
on that tiny lathe.

Someone was asking $2269 for one recently!

Better pictures and info here, but $2900 is WAY more than I'd consider
paying for this tiny used lathe.

Dayton is a four hour round trip from here, but I was getting ready to
make that trip to bring back a pickup truck load of supplies for my
business anyway, so picking up the mini lathe is almost a free trip for
me. I already made a trip to Dayton to buy an airplane and I hauled it
back on a flatbed trailer, and I bought my 10X24 Clausing lathe in
Dayton and brought it back in my pickup a year and a half ago.

I've added this lathe to my eBay watch list... like I need another CNC
project for my Summer Of Projects. :-o
