I'm talking to the other folks at my hackerspace/makerspace about hosting. I have no doubt that they'd be happy to do it. At TX/RX Labs, we have 6 different machines running LinuxCNC: 2 routers (3x4 and 2x2), a Bridgeport Series 1 CNC, a 3D printer (Mendel), an Emco CNC mini-Lathe, and a PCB mill plus a Powerhawk mill and Okuma lathe slated for future LCNC conversion. (Another member is bringing in another knee mill running LCNC this weekend.) We also teach classes on using LCNC at least twice a year. Our facility is approximately 16,000 sq/ft. Half is air-conditioned and includes a conference room with projector/screen, a classroom with 18 workstations, electronics bays, wireless internet, and a full kitchen. We're in Houston, so if you don't like the heat we could hold the meeting later or earlier in the year, we're a non-profit so exact dates are really flexible. But, on the many plus sides, Houston has more restaurants per capita than anywhere in the world (so good food is no problem), and the Labs are in the center of Houston, so they're all close.
