Interesting packaged motor, but I wonder about some of the design choices. This device uses an outer rotor PMSM with no provision for air flow nor any significant conduction path for heat from the coils to the unit's outer housing. Also the single ended bearing arrangement required by an outer rotor setup are not well suited to side loads. The motor driver electronics are a nice concept and seem to be well executed.
Alas the example machine on the web site is running Mach3, not LinuxCNC and the interface is basic step and direction in this application.
