In my opinion, a parallel port/software PWM signal generator is too slow. To get a decent frequency, one is limited to two or three bits of resolution, or more bits at a much lower frequency. It seems marginal even for a VFD speed input. Why bother with a parallel port when there are inexpensive FPGA generators with tons of bandwidth available? -- Kirk Wallace http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/ http://www.wallacecompany.com/E45/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your SQL database under version control now! Version control is standard for application code, but databases havent caught up. So what steps can you take to put your SQL databases under version control? Why should you start doing it?
