I am planning to retrofit old leather cutter with part projecting
capability. There will be a projector which should help placing parts on
a leather peace put on table.
Almost no questions with electronics, LinuxCNC, but I need to provide a
whole solution, including part placing software with GUI. I don't need
CAD - parts will be designed in another systems.

What system would you suggest to use to place all parts from a list?
Some functionality I would like to mention:

 1. part list with quantities, left, right
 2. easy pick, place, rotate interface
 3. interactive collision detection when moving, rotating parts
 4. multi-select for move, rotate
 5. full-screen - the screen will be shown on a table with projector
 6. configurable GUI to avoid un-needed menus, toolbars, etc.
 7. NC code output or
 8. programming capability
 9. stable, reliable
10. automatic nesting (not required by customer actually, would be too
    good to be true)

I have experience in programming Rhinoceros, but it does not run under
Linux.
