problem is that file output STL from that scanner.

Bring the STL into the CAD program, and convert it.
I have been bringing STL files into the Repetier program that communicates with
a Solidoodle 3D printer.
- There are two STL to GCODE converter programs in the Windows side of things:
- - Skeinforge
- - Slic3r
- There is a program on the LINUX side of things, under Fedora version 19,
called "cura".
Current version of cura, listed in "Apper", (for getting removing and
updating programs), is 13.04-2.fc19.
How is cura? It does communicate with the Solidoodle.
(sigh). Due to my system wants to update 1013 programs, and bumping itself
off updating, by interrupting itself,
I am currently using the Windows side of things.
Maybe next version.

Sorry. Maybe someone else knows.

---hand held -- type scanner.
Sounds good.

Good. You have one.
My student/evaluation Solid Edge and s/e Gibbscam have gone past their
marketing dates.
Blender is taking all the STL versions of the files I saved. Am not proficient
at it like the CAD programs.

Thank you for the news. I will look for that scanner.
James.
