Greetings;

In attempting to split the milling machines operation code, eg subroutines
out into a separate directory for easier maintenance as the current
nc_files assignment has several hundred files, some cruft of course but
could be use/reused in the future.

So, I am attempting to use the axis .ini files SUBROUTINE_PATH = as a way
to separate the o<word> call stuff out.

But at this point, I have failed rather miserably while learning at least
101 variations, which like Thomas Edison, have made a light bulb that
doesn't work. o<word> stuff placed in this directory or even in the
nc_files directory, cannot be opened when invoked by an MDI_COMMAND= line
in the .ini file.

Is it broke, or am I like Thomas, just haven't found out how to make it
work?

Something is broken either in SUBROUTINE_PATH, or in the MDI_COMMAND=
is the only conclusion I can reach at this point. The PROGRAM_PATH also
must be stated in full to work, relatives default to the $config directory
when a file menu open is done. So ATM both are specified as a full path
from /.

Clues? I'm about out.

Thanks guys.

Cheers, Gene
