An interesting thread. I have a PS2 mouse and keyboard on the mill, but a full wireless setup on the lathe, mainly because the wires would be running right up in front of my face to reach the controller box if it was wired. But thats faint help since due to range limits, the dongle with the receiver has to dangle down to be within 18" or so of the keyboard and mouse. I could save 2 feet of wire if only the ps2 sockets were on the from of that ArK cabinet. But since I have a plethora of ps2 stuff, I might just try that as I have had several occasions where the first keypress for a while was ignored. Usually a sign the batteries are getting tired, but then I have the PIMA of going and finding where I last left that 16 pack of batteries. ;-) The only time I really had usb byte me was when I left a key I'd used for sneakernet, plugged in. That will play hell with everything and may even keep LCNC from starting. So no storage allowed except temporary, but I use NFS for all that now.
