It's looking more and more as if a BBB will be what I should use to run my big knee mill. Finally got the bad bearings replaced in the variable speed drive, then had to take it apart again and make a new bushing for the moving varidisc on the motor. (Apparently the entire variable speed belt drive industry ceased using a 35mm keyed shaft on a 3HP motor sometime in the past 24 years.) I have the motors all mounted. Next week will be moving the hydraulic press and sand blasting cabinet to the left to make room for the mill. Then I need to figure out what I need to read data from two glass scales and one rotary encoder (on the Z axis ballscrew). Project is coming along, not as fast as I'd hoped, but not terribly expensive. VS drive rebuild only cost around $100 in parts, new belts and bearings, mostly through Amazon and eBay. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Android apps run on BlackBerry 10 Introducing the new BlackBerry 10.2.1 Runtime for Android apps.
