We deal with similar internet access problems on an island in south
Puget Sound( ancestral acreage ). Sunny days and standing in the right
place we get a decent signal, real overcast or marine layer and the
signal goes away. We have considered hanging a high gain Yagi up a tree
and hitting the Wi-fi at the local yacht club or even the mainland.
We've had reasonable success with a local wi-fi hot spot on a sunny day.
I have a picture of 9 or so of the clan sitting in a circle in the sun
all working on their i-Pads or i-Phones ;-)
..... and this is what we do on vacation???
