No Seb, it was a typu, home-sw.in shoulda been home-sw-in, My bad , but
its murphy's law that you can't see your own typo's till you post about
them. :-\

In between rebooting the box with the power switch about every 4th time I
quit gedit, or about every other time linuxcnc -l either fails or or I
quit it, I am making progress this morning. About 1.5 seconds later after
quitting something, boom, black screen lockup. It even does it on this
machine IF I'm running the RTAI kernel. So its not a feature of the atom
boards, its something in the rtai kernels cleanup the crap area. Gets
old, damned old. I am waiting with baited breath for the next kernel that
can run this stuff. Maybe, just maybe, it might be more stable...

Or am I the only one seeing this?, and I'm seeing it on 3 differently
equipt machines. 2 atom boards and this quad core phenom.

Maybe I can get it to load and home yet today. But I'm enjoying the
weather this morning, its cooled some after giving us 2.5" of badly needed
rain last evening, at times right straight out of that famous boot.
Unforch, that comes with water in the basement about 1/8" deep, 2
dehumidifiers are working overtime.

Thanks Seb.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
