Thanks, I'll check that yet this evening. > smartctl 6.2 2013-07-26 r3841 [x86_64-linux-3.14.9-200.fc20.x86_64] > (local build) > Copyright (C) 2002-13, Bruce Allen, Christian Franke, > www.smartmontools.org > > === START OF INFORMATION SECTION === > .... > Sector Size: 512 bytes logical/physical Its running now, but I had to bring both drives in here and run gedit to partition & format them. The 250Gb's / partition was not recoverable, but gedit reformatted it just fine. I fooled around with the 2T, finally getting a 500 meg /boot, about 5G for swap, and the rest was /. Formatted both to ext4. Took it back out and plugged it back in, skipped the formatting & went straight to the install which completed nominally. Then I hand carved the network/interfaces, resolv.conf and 2 or so others, rebooted. and its now online just fine. So the old drive is reformatted & seems to be ok, but I don't have time to screw with it as I have company coming the first of next week, and have got to do something with this midden heap we call home. Reminds me though I have to go fix the hosts file too. > ----------------------------------------------------------------------- > ------- Want fast and easy access to all the code in your enterprise? > Index and search up to 200,000 lines of code with a free copy of Black > Duck Code Sight - the same software that powers the world's largest > code search on Ohloh, the Black Duck Open Hub!
