I tend to think something like this is going to have to be the future of open source. Volunteers to get a concept to something somewhat useable, generate critical mass of users and then some sort of funding contribution so the project can be advanced in a more "professional" manner with people paid something to do the less fun work like documentation which seems to be the bane of all things open source.

How would you determine the payment due for the time taken for someone to get up to speed with all the necessary parts of the system? Before working out how to get the changes that you want made, is there a list of what those changes are? Some may be on the way, some may be easy, some may be impossible (or at least incompatible) -- atp If you can't fix it, you don't own it. http://www.ifixit.com/Manifesto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
