That makes sense,

I tried it, didn't seem to make a difference, it still would not see the 
eth0 port on the board.

I ordered a couple of those TP LinK PCI-E nic's, be a few days out.

The other ASrock board we were using, 
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157465, in our 
turning centers, worked without issue late yesterday. I stuck one in, 
and about 2 minutes later I was communicating with 7i80 :) So I think we 
are just going to keep ordering that board, and not the board with the 
Atheros LAN chipset. We just went that route because it had built in 
on-board wireless, and was the same cpu socket of the others.

At least now I realize it was the board, and not me fumbling around a 
keyboard making mistakes.
