That SS pipe turned out to be just the ticket, .3756" OD, is drive fit in coupling, chucked it up and basically bored out the weld seam=8.15mm. Wide hacksaw slot for crush, aligned with the slot in the coupler, give it a splash of red thread-locker & draw the drawbolt. I'm about 1/2 done with them now, but was outta coffee. Leg isn't doing too well either and I can't find my hacksaw, which the last time I warmed up the handle had a fresh 32 tpi starret blade in it. But rain made me put stuff back in the shed in a hurry so I've NDI what drawer it might be in. But we'll get there, I can see light at the other end of the tube.
