If the 7I64 has power, I would make sure

1. None of the 7I64 option jumpers has gotten moved or displaced

2. The serial cable is secure at both ends

3. The RS-422 daughtercard connections are not loose

4. if the 7I64 is powered via the serial cable, make sure that the 5V power
measures at least 4.5V at the 7I64 end
