No error on startup, but can't verify with a (debug,4990=#4990) MDI statement without first homing it. So I'll have to test it hot. End of a long day, lots of fall honeydo's & a few loads of laundry, but that at least is working, so the grin is getting wider. The machine is moving, but there is no white trace backplot! The execution of the program is controlled by whether or not it finds a valid value in #4990 that is 'ne' 5.0000000, which is the initial value I stuffed in there to make it run the locator program first. The initial loading scan is also about 10x faster than it was so I believe the scanner is taking the long jump off a short plank to a shut it all down and an M2 quit. Have I found a bug in the scanner, or would that be the expected behaviour? Thanks. Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
