That question is hard to answer w/o knowing what kind of motor is on the 
Emco Compact5.  If is brushed DC, with a PM field, The Pico Systems PWM 
Servo amplifier is just the ticket. I'm using 2 of them with kilowatt+ 
sized motors on two different machines.
