The G540 is a 4 axis breakout/drive combination, the fifth stepgen is used for the chargepump, so doesn't have a dir pin... I dont think there are any common 5 axis pinouts that match parallel port breakouts, but if you are not aiming at a parallel port compatible pinout, you might be able to use a 7I76 pinout.
