Probably, if you want to transfer .ngc files to it. But, just have one user ID able to log in remotely, and keep it behind a firewall with NAT. That should be pretty secure.
I don't have any anti-virus software here, not sure any of that stuff actually works against a code that would actually affect a Linux system. Searching against tables of Windows virus' seems pointless.
