A an old rice burner rider with several hundred thou miles logged on 2 wheels, Andy's attention to detail is quite a window into his mind. So I'll second that dozen roses above. My own bike mods tended to be more of a sefety measure to most of the J.A.Pan made stuff I rode as after decent tires, Dunlaps of course, and fresh brakes, the next thing mine got was more headligts, sometime lots more depending on how much could be hogged out of the coils in the factory alternator. My last such build had an off-road headlamp with a 140 watt high beam, and when the roads were empty, a pair of H3 lamped driving lights sitting on the immitation Wind Jammer fairing would light up the night like day light for half a mile while the speedo went north of the 100 marker, till the battery started to fade. Suzi GS-1000G's came with an exceptionally puny alternator stator and the 140 watter by itself was pushing it to the limit. OTOH, some dimwit trying to blind a cyclist with his high beams usually got the message after that 140 came up to temp for about one second. I don't think I ever gave them a dose of the H3's unless I was already on low beams. That was reserved for the idiots that were still on brights 50 yards on and coming after having been reminded once already. Then they came up and stayed up until my eyes were back to normal. Those headlights were also running on 10 gauge wire, heating the puny factory wire doesn't make light. Other than the puny electrics, that Suzi was one of those bikes that took you there, and brought you back. Everytime.
