accel = v^2 / r (in metric) so your numbers give a radius of 11.25mm if those are mm / sec numbers. Anyway, the arc radius is a super-simple calculation based on velocity and acceleration, and you can make the radius smaller with higher acceleration. This hints that the accel limits should be pretty close to the actual machine capability to best maintain cutting speed with acceptable accuracy. My lathe is using 110 velocity and 750 accel. 10:1 ratios are about right. -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1916 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What NetFlow Analyzer can do for you?
