'Twould appear to be, thanks. I see you made new castings to hide all the
motors, neato! I might see if I can source some more 1/2" 7078 to make a
full box as opposed to just the front panel for an apron as I can see
that would add quite a bit of rigidity to the motions. But ATM the
little monster is working so slowly that very few of my ideas will be
finished before I'm shoveling snow. Its cutting a cone shape, centered
on the off centered 10mm QC holddown bolt. With a full cylinder of cast
where the compound was, the same piece for the Sheldon won't go by the
cylinder at maximum x retraction. I had to cut on it for quite a while
just to get it to clear the crossfeed sled.

I think, by the time I get usable clearance, I'll have to change to a
faceplate by drilling and tapping the faceplate to hold it off center,
then write a g3 based loop to carve it in a curve to match the work
piece. Either that, or drill the qc bolt hole on thru with an 8mm
drill, and run a big piece of ready-thread all the way thru the spindle,
with a stack of fender washers on the end sticking out. This cone will
be about midnight getting done. And I'll still need to invent some g3
code to run in the xz plane.

I'm not sure at times, whether I need a bigger boat, or more beer. :) Or
someone to drink it with & help solve the worlds problems.

My lady is going downhill (COPD) in the summer heat, dragging an oxygen
hose behind her when she gets up to do anything. Sad to see too. I do
what I can, & blow away swarf when I can. But I can't breath for her,
dammit.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
