I imagine that you have the pendant connected to one of the MDI_COMMAND HAL pins? Those use MDI, and switch to the MDI window. How doe the pendant interface to LinuxCNC? wheel-jogging appears to work regardless of manual/mdi mode You could toggle the halui.mode.manual pin to return to manual mode.
