My own stupid attack Andy. :( A good "star" grounding system handles that problem nicely so far. But I failed the plumbers test as I was making that one up. I am assuming others can build a proper star ground as they will follow directions better than this ancient C.E.T. did. But it certainly can be a problem with the speed of the spi bus, and the switching motor drivers and power supplies making noise that reaches into the 2nd hundred megahertz range, it is hard to keep it out. The epp bus out of a parport is around 2 magnitudes slower, so its not nearly the problem.
