I have tried using Pncconf to configure a basic milling system: X,Y,Z axis, 3 x home switches, 1 x all limit switch, spindle on/off output, Mesa 5i25. The system is LCNC 2.7.8 on Debian. The break-out board is one of the common Chinese type interfacing to 2M542 motor drives and stepper motors. I.e. an open loop system.
If you are looking into the generated HAL file there seems to be no signals for step pulses? When a parallel port and Stepconf is used you get an "xstep" signal connected to the step pulse input of the motor drive. It seems like Pncconf in this case only generates servo systems, not open loop. Could that be because Pncconf is a Beta version? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, SlashDot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
