That reminds me somewhat of the Hardee's in Winterset Iowa USA. Some manager back in the mists of time made the back wall behind the counter up with row upon row of cupholder pegs, and invited the regulars to bring in their favorite but easily identifiable cup. So the morning folks, or the mid-afternoon people that come in and nurse a cuppa for an hour or more shooting the breeze about grain & cattle/hog prices, always had their own cup. Leave it on the counter as you leave, it gets a trip thru the dishwasher and hung back up on the peg with their name on it. That personal touch turned out to be quite popular, and from the looks of the crowd of oldtimers in bib overalls & dirty boots there anytime I've stopped, sells at least a dozen more 12 cup pots of coffee than they would have without that. There may be 10 or more farmers there at any one time. The wall has room for 100 or more cups. Hardee's is a fast food chain place thats opened up for the day around 5am, serving real food for breakfast, with biscuits made in their own on-site ovens. Good, substantial, stick to your ribs food for working folks. Winterset is a smallish county seat town, a fellow named Marion Morison was born there, you may know him as John Wayne the movie star, and had a nursing home there where daddy spent his final days. I'd stop by and see him anytime I was crossing the country, but alzheimers took his thinker, so I quit stopping when he refused to believe I was his son. I did go back to carry him up the hill but that was a hard thing to take, not being recognized by the only father I ever knew. He was a good man.
