It might actually be a good choice and as POWERLINK Ethernet protocol comply 
with authorized standardization level for communication technologies in China

Wow, they have come a long way. Back when I researched some 5 or so Ethernet protocols, PowerLink was talked about like a puppy that might grow up. But it was the one I really had an interest in as it is open source. I downloaded the source but never went anywhere with it. It looks like some big boys are getting on board with it, that is cool.
