Greetings all; Since I've found I can't do a setp in gcode to control the color of an led, how can I do that in real time (as far as the display is concerned)
I druther not use a non-volatile memory variable since they live, even across a powerdown reboot a few times. I need something that is turned off/false when linuxcnc is launched, but will remember the state its set to when running. Its turned on and off by an alternate action gcode file hooked to a halui mdi button and whose alternate action is controlled by the status of (atm) #3998. But how do I send that, to pyvcp.camstatus, an "led". Yes, I know I can reset it at launch time by putting it in the rs274 string in the ini file. But if its changed, its new state needs sent to the led. Best idea? My pair of rock64's I am going to try to run the lathe with, are in town but I have to sign for them, and even if he brings them back tomorrow, I'll be out of pocket getting a tooth pulled. Grrr. Maybe in the morning before I head out. Thanks all. Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
