Kurt,
When the weather is good it is really good. This is expecially true for the Puget Sound area. I hope you missed the smoke from the wildfires. pm2.5 was in the 150 range for many days. We usually have about 6 days a summer over 100 but this year it was closer to 14 and 108 for
5 days in a row is not fun.
Glad you enjoyed your time here.

Dave

ps. I rely on a big fan to suck in cool night air for AC.

That is interesting Dave,
I got in my Conestoga wagon (2010 sprinter) and headed west for the first
time a few months ago.
I ended up covering about 12000 mi over 28 days, so I was on the move most
of the time, but I did get
to spend some time in Oregon and Washington. I was surprised how lush it
was. Beautiful area.

Cheers,
Kurt

Goldendale is well east of the cascades and therefore drier that the west

Goldendale comes in at ~ 18"/yr. so dry land wheat country.
Yakima long term is 7-9" but we got ~14 last year.
Seattle is at about 27"
Issaquah closer to 55"
Olympia (south puget sound) ~50"

Downy brome (cheat grass) germinates about 2 wks earlier than most grasses
grows like mad then dries out to burns like mad.
Crested wheatgrass doesn't do to bad with 7-9" but looks pretty flush at
12-14"
Tall wheatgrass needs about 4 more inches a year than crested wheat to do
well.

Yep! more information than you planned on.

Rainy season is starting. Is this still outstanding in its field? Or
should I say rainier season?
