I have tried different hardware for real time communication and decided for the best quality Ethercat or maybe Sercos III is the path forward.
Only real real disadvantage is they both have chosen double with two rings in opposite direction which probably make twice as expensive as needed, one transceiver and a single ring had probably been more than enough for most cases. Hardware for slave is relatively simple to find but master I do not know.
