Ok, so much for links.
Ok, called Peter today, got a bit of help and syntax to get these pins to
show, got that accomplished, git mesaflash installed, verified invocation
in terminal.
I get this message no matter what I tell pnc it is. 5i25,7i43 etc . All
give me the same you haven forgot to assign pwm/ step to x,y,z, axis.
Peter had suggested trying a Sim . I did an axis Sim and it appears that
Hal is empty, so I'm not understanding how to lie to this thing well enough
to get around this. I was advised by pcw not to update to 2.7.12 as it
suffers bugginess in the 7i90 7i43 as well. I'm not desperate for this to
work, but parts keep showing up for this machine and I would like this to
be able to read my encoders so I can find out what they are. Thanks gents
