Seems to be at this point. Control box powers up and all the lights in the box come up. The stepper motors lock up with the hold power and I definitely can't move them by hand. I've noticed previously when I forget to power the control box up after bringing up LinuxCNC the display showed the Z axis counting up as if it was trying to move the axis. Since it's a stepper system and not a closed loop system like if I was running servos shouldn't it still be counting up as if the axis were moving awaiting the tripping of the home switch for that axis?
