1. Its too costly, and too small for the motors I've generally used, as
the much more capable 2m542 is easier to control, can't be killed by a
wiring error, albeit with less smarts about motor errors, is only about
5 bucks more. I won't say its bullet-proof, but in over a decade of
using them, every one I've bought is still doing its job. 11 of them
IIRC.

2 We'd still need to source all those connectors and install them, losing
the price advantage this has over the higher rated 2M542's.

3. Peter could probably write a driver for the 7i90HD to make it daisy
chain to the multiple cs spi buss this needs.

4. after my experiences with the similar Allegro chips on the xylotex
boards, blowing for no detectable reason, I'm spooky about a single chip
solution. Particularly since theres no mention of a heat sink. I
personally think Jim's board is a good design, for nema 17 and smaller
motors, but its a balancing act between its overheating at voltages
below 24, and its 35 volt or so self destruct. This one may be better,
but just interfacing to a bunch of them looks to be expensive ATM.

Besides, I'm up to my butt just trying to drain my local swamp.
