Never even gave it a thought Andy. Batteries of any ilk cost money, while
I have buckets of old wall warts. As is, my cost for AA and AAA
batteries just for keyboards and mice and 357's for calipers and the
2032's for remote controls is north of $100 a year plus the hassle of
going after them. Locally, the batteries these lasers use are $15 a set
of 2, and made out of fairly pure unobtainium. I found just 4 of them in
an afternoons search of the local merchants. Bought them all. $40.

So I'll go ahead and make a slip ring and brush holder, probably out of
local scrap Teflon. That I've grabbed anytime its been available for a
couple decades. Often free because most don't know what it is, its just
slippery white plastic to them. My biggest problem will be fitting the
slip rings tight enough to stay put. Theres no locally available glue
that sticks to Teflon.

Thanks Andy.
