Greetings guys; The psu in this machine refused to restart after a power down to eject 2 hard drives to protect them from a netinstall of stretch, so that got sidetracked while I ran down another supply from a friend up in Jane Lew, and its running on that one now.
So once I was running again I went online and ordered 2 more, one for me a spare, and one to give back to the friend. They came in this afternoon, so I cut the box open and brought one of them in to put it on the shelf so I had a spare. As I turned around to put it in the top shelf of the bookcase behind me, I looked and saw that I had done the exact same thing 5 or 6 years ago as there, within rattlesnake striking distance of the top of my head, was a 400 watt coolermaster supply I had plumb forgot buying a few years back. Even the cellophane was still intact. So its official, I am losing my mind. And its not backed up on tape or hard drive either. Never did grow an ethernet port for amanda. ;-) Anyway, now I can try to install stretch. But ATM, the pressure is off, I managed to fix my kmail problem last night. Now I am waiting on switches, and a vfd to replace that confused Chinese POS that came with this mill. The shelf above the machine will loose 30 lbs when I pull that big steel box off it.
