I've written a quick note to Frederick Rible, the author of the xhc-hb04..1 user manual with respect to this pendant.
Plugged into the dual boot PC with WIN-XP and MACH3 CNC it works perfectly. Plugged in with LinuxCNC the xhc-hb04 standalone program works and it spits out the key codes and MPG positions. It's got the correct Vender:Product ID numbers as shown by lsusb. I've added the 99-xhc-hb04.rules file to /etc/udev/rules.d folder and the loadusr -W xhc-hb04 -H -I with the path to the layout2.cfg file. Under LinuxCNC the HAL monitor shows it's there but buttons and MPG don't do anything. I must be missing something really simple but don't even know where to start. Suggestions?
